Purpose: Explore the main constructs of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in the case of the university students in Colombia, using a structural equation model.
Design/methodology/approach. The current quantitative study is grounded on in a sample of 243 university students from Colombia. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior-TPB-, six scales validated in different studies were used to measure, through 52 variables, the factors that affect entrepreneurial intention in university students.
Findings. The findings show that the TPB is an analytical framework that allows explaining the phenomenon of entrepreneurship in the case of university students in Colombia. However, the complexity of the different constructs considered shows that some variables have a greater impact than others in the case study. |
