--The rehabilitation process for people with lower limb amputation represents a substantial socioeconomic, psychological and functional challenge [1], [2]. The accurate design process of prosthesis system may improve the quality of life for these patients [2], [3]. Fifteen patients with unilateral transfemoral amputation participated in this study. A total of forty five numerical models were developed, divided in three kinds of models, model 1 includes the socket, femur bone and a residual soft tissue without the gluteus zone, model 2 includes the socket, the femur bone and a residual soft tissue with the gluteus zone, and the model 3 includes the socket, femur bone, pelvis bone, and a residual soft tissue with the gluteus zone. The analysis was focus on the residual limb¿socket interaction and the mean CPRESS obtained is in this range (13.5 ¿ 99 kPa). Also, it was found that including the pelvic bone and the gluteal zone in models of people with transfemoral amputation has no statist |
