Perfil profesional
Professor Orozco is a chemical engineer and a physicist with a master degree in chemical engineering. He holds a doctoral degree from the New Energies-Petroleum French Insitute at Paris (IFP-EN) along with Rovira-i-Virgili University at Spain. After finished his Ph.D. he moved to Princeton University where he worked under the supervision of Prof. Athanasios Panagiotopolous. Professor Orozco research interests are related to the molecular simulation field at different time and length scales. Particularly, the Monte-Carlo techniques leading to estimate phase equilibria and molecular dynamics techniques to estimate transport properties, quantum calculations are also involved during the force field development stages. Professor Orozco is currently working on solvent design for CO2 capture and some other processes using polarizable and fixed point charge force fields. He is also interested in free energy calculations using mean field theory approaches and blood flow behavior using Lattice-Boltzmann methods.
